Cookies on socketvertexhub.digital
This page describes the cookies this site may set, how to accept or reject them, and what changes if you refuse.
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser so the site can remember a fact on a later visit — for example, that you already answered the consent banner. Some cookies are essential to remember that answer. Others, if you allow them, help us see which pages are read. They are not a substitute for a feature adoption study, and they do not watch you inside a productivity app.
Types we use
Essential. The consent record itself, stored as a localStorage key named socketvertexhub_cookie_consent. It holds only “accepted” or “rejected.” Without it, the banner would return on every page load. Rejecting optional cookies does not remove this record; it is how we honour the rejection.
Analytics (optional). Only if you press Accept. These help us count visits to pages such as Studies and Field notes. They are not used to build a profile of your workplace, and they are not required to send an enquiry. If you press Reject, we do not set them. The rest of the site — including the contact form — keeps working.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| socketvertexhub_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so the banner does not nag on every page. | Until you clear site data for this domain | Socket Vertex Hub (first party, localStorage) |
| svh_page_read (only if accepted) | A light page-count cookie so we can see which public pages are opened, not who you are at work. | 6 months | Socket Vertex Hub (first party) |
| Fonts from Google Fonts | The layout loads Fraunces and Figtree. Google may receive a request from your browser when the font files are fetched. That is a network request, not a cookie we set, but it is a third-party contact. | Determined by Google | Google Fonts |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also clear cookies and site data for socketvertexhub.digital in your browser settings, after which the banner will appear again. Browser guides differ: look for “cookies,” “site data,” or “local storage” for this domain. Blocking all cookies may also clear the consent record, which means the banner returns — that is expected, not a punishment.
Third-party cookies
We do not embed marketing pixels, social share trackers, or payment widgets. Images on this site are requested from Unsplash’s image service; that request may be logged by Unsplash according to their own terms. Video calls for remote sittings, when a study needs them, use a provider named on the quote, not a tracker on this public site.
If you disable optional cookies
You can still read every page, send an enquiry, and call us. We will simply not count those page opens. Essential storage of your Reject choice remains so we do not keep asking. For how we handle personal information more broadly, read the privacy notice.
